The CMW team thanks all our dedicated volunteers that contribute year in and year out to a very successful event!

Volunteering can be the job of a lifetime or it can be part of your everyday life. It provides the opportunity to explore career fields that you might never have thought of. Volunteering with CMW offers the unique experience of participating with the execution of the event which puts you in contact with many influential businesses and industry people. This will undoubtedly prove to be a valuable networking and educational experience regarding the more prominent organizations influencing the progress of today’s entertainment industries.

In order to meet our goals for Canadian Music Week, we require credible and committed volunteers. We are grateful for the energy, enthusiasm, and dedication volunteers bring to our event. Volunteers perform many duties that help make CMW a successful event.

CMW expects all volunteers to be professional in their appearance, conduct and dependability. You represent CMW and we are counting on you to provide a high standard of professionalism.

Please fill out the volunteer application form (link at the bottom of the page).   You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 24hours once we have received this form. The information you provide will be used to contact you throughout the preparation for CMW. Please give a valid e-mail address as this will be our main contact with you.

This year CMW takes place from Tuesday March 19th, 2013 to Sunday March 24th, 2013. The volunteers are broken down into 4 main areas: The Conference, Music Festival, Comedy Festival, and Film Festival

Festival staff will be working from early evening into the wee hours of March 19th – March 25th, 2013.

Conference staff will be scheduled in day shifts March 19th – March 23rd, 2013.

All volunteers will be required to attend a few training sessions leading up to CMW/CMF.   Details will be provided well in advance.

Festival
The festival runs from March 19th to March 24th, 2013. As a festival volunteer you will be working from the early evening to the wee hours of the night. This is an exciting experience to hear great music and meet new people.  Volunteering for the Festival is ideal for those individuals looking for experience working with bands, live events, and venues

Conference
The Conference takes place from March 19th, 2013 to Saturday March 23rd, 2013.   Volunteering for the conference is ideal for individuals with a passion for the business of music or event planning.   The primary hours for the conference are daytime hours, into the early evening.
