Stone Parade – Sydney, Australia
Just wanted to say thank you for organising such a professional & fun event. Travelling all the way from Australia we were excited by the talent we checked out both from Canada & abroad. The trip has resulted in us negotiating a release with an Indie Label from Canada and meeting many more industry & bands that may help our careers in the future.  So from all the way in Sydney, thank you for helping our careers progress & providing a trip we won’t forget.  F**k it was Cold!!

The On Fires – Melbourne, Australia
Thank you for a wonderful event. We’re delighted to have been invited to play at CMW and I commend you on such a well-run event, where delegates are so accessible. The calibre of acts we saw was fantastic; it can’t have been easy to choose them all.  We LOVED The Hideout and returned the following night just to hang. The staff there are incredible (and the venue is beautiful).
Had 2 articles printed about us in Melbourne’s (Australia) most prestigious newspaper The Age
We were mentioned on Australia’s national radio station (in the context of an Aussie band having to go overseas to get any attention!)
Halifax Pop Explosion saw the show & said they’d love us to have us at the festival; we’ve provided all of our info & are waiting to see whether that comes to fruition
A lot of Aussies who didn’t know about us before, now know about us (bands & industry). This is actually incredibly important to us. As a result of us spending most of our time doing international touring, we have a low profile at home & have a tough time getting anyone there to assist us

Einar Flaa Academy – Oslo, Norway
The Einar Flaa Academy had a great time in Toronto!!!  Thanks for all the help Zach:)  Actually, we ended up playing gigs every day at the festival (even a tiny one at a pub called “Not my dog”) awesome!  We were also contacted by Alan Cross, and our single is now Indie Track of the Day at Explore Music.

Yunioshi – Nottingham, UK
We met some incredible people and have had some amazing feedback and reviews from out headline slot at The Painted Lady. We managed to pack the place out completely to bursting point and really got the crowd bouncing to our beats.  It was such an amazing venue and we were really looked after by the stage manager and the soundguy as well as the owners of the venue who put on a pretty spectacular bar top show for us during our set. Nipple tassels are definately the way forward for future Yunioshi shows.

Lake of Stew – Quebec, Canada
Our showcase went great.  We invited lots of partners, bookers and we felt it was very useful in developing the band in the rest of Canada.  We met some very good bookers / managers.  We’re now in discussions and and close to securing some some deals.

Humans – Vancouver BC
Our favourite part of cmw was at around 4am on saturday night at the El Mocambo. Our stage manager told us to just keep on playing because there was no dj, and there were a lot of people still in the club. So we played a whole bunch of unfinished material. Everyone loved it. It was really fun and put a great finishing touch on our cmw experience.

River Junction Band – Ontario, Canada
I just wanted to write a short note saying that The River Junction Band had an incredible time at CMW.  Performing at the Cadillac Lounge was amazing. We met some fantastic people, and had a great time. The Seminars that we attended were Wonderful, and very informative.  So…..Thanks again!
