Letter From The Office – All For One & One From All Of Us
Ok – so you know those “Best of” lists that start at the beginning of every December? Unless you’re living under a rock you know they are pretty much the go-to year-end content for every media outlet on the planet. Hey, I’m not knocking them because – well – we’ve jumped on that wagon and road it all the way to the interwebs. Below we have compiled our own lists but with a twist – shaken, not stirred. Instead of the top ten songs from this year that came out this year we’re just going to give you our top ten for the year. Simply put – 10 songs we rocked out to more than the rest. It could be personal favourites that came out years ago or something fresh direct off the press – there are no rules to this game. We have wrangled part of the family to give you what will be henceforth known as your “things-to-checkout-if-you-don’t-already-know-them” list. All of these would make great New Years Eve jams. Now, with a wide variety of jobs and backgrounds, we see quite the diverse group of songs and listening habits. Check it out below.

Now, as the curator of this little slice of internet cheese I feel it my duty to give you a little more than what I have asked the group – descriptions, links, thoughts, feelings, and things falling under the “too much information” category, below. This is me. Be gentle.
Eagles – One Of These Nights
Ok, this is where I really take advantage of the “it didn’t have to come out this year” rule. Yes, I love this song. Yes, those 300,000 views on that youtube link are majority mine. Yes, I recently found an old crate of records with a ton of Eagles and was over the moon about it.
Bear Hands – Giants
As soon as this list idea came about I knew Bear Hands would be making an appearance. The inspiration to choose Giants came by way of my roommate. He went on tour with Bear Hands and captured the first video when in Denver. I was hooked. The line “ODB got it right from the start” makes me laugh and “have I said this before I’m loving you more” makes me grin large. Great song by your new favourite band.
Recently found better version (sorry Mitch) – http://vimeo.com/29864631
LCD Soundsystem – All My Friends
This song will always sneak it’s way into a top song list. A massive summer jam and one that reminds me of all the best people.
The Black Keys – Lonely Boy
Dancing in its finest form. Learn from the video below. No further explanation needed.
Azealia Banks – 212
In an attempted to not have my list look like Cameron’s I was going to leave this one out but who am I kidding – this one is a banger. Listen and feel free to groove along.
Arcade Fire – Sprawl II
One of the best live bands I have ever seen and this is their best song (in my opinion).

Childish Gambino – Fuck It All
Just great.
Listener – Wooden Heart
Listener is incredible. Wooden Heart is an amazing album. The title track is near flawless. It might take a second to really get into, but when you do…
The Tallest Man On Earth – You’re Going Back
For some reason I have never had any desire to listen to anything from Tallest Man On Earth that wasn’t on The Wild Hunt. I think this album just gave me all I need. My favourite is linked below.
Tyler, The Creator Feat. Earl Sweatshirt – Assmilk
Ok, please don’t chalk this one up to jumping on a bandwagon – there is something about the flow in this song that blows my mind. Love it. Stuck this one at the end, as it’s fairly explicit. Consider this fair warning.
That’s all for now. Enjoy your Holidays, see your family, eat some food and save a little time for a little trouble.
Zach Gordensky – Festival Coordinator
